Is it me or do the JW's act like the Circuit Overseer is Jesus himself?
by stillstuckcruz ini'm sure many have noticed that.
now obviously many more will go out in fs than usual and such because the co brings more "insight" on fs than the usual brothers.
understandable i guess.

Lead Codices Now Called Fake
by Quendi inwell, that huge sigh of relief we're hearing is from brooklyn.
evidence is mounting that the lead codices found earlier this year which depicted jesus being executed on a cross are fakes.
so jehovah's witnesses can still maintain their assertion that christ was executed on a stake and not a cross for now.

Here is a video of a tornado that hit in N.C. How can this guy stay so calm?
by StoneWall inok i try and stay calm in the event of an emergency but there is just no way i can be as calm as the guy in this video when you see the tornado go right beside him.
his truck is getting blasted with all kinds of debris.. i would have had to been on tranquilizers or drunk to even come anywhere close to being as calm sounding as he is.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugwjfoz-12c&feature=featured.

A WORD OF ADVICE TO ALL JWs
by I quit! inif you aren't annointed then why go to the memorial.
you can reject christ's offer in the comfort of your own home.
rent a movie and have some popcorn instead of attending another boring meeting..

You need a messiah
by StopTheTears inyou might well ask that question, do we need a messiah?
yes, it would be logical to wonder whether a messiah would have any real effect on you.. .
some whose opinion you may respect would assure you that the answer is clear and unequivocal: you definitely do need a messiah, just as much as everyone else does.. .

dos it really matter if someone drinks the wine and eats the crackers??!
by highdose ina big part of every memorial i ever went to was given to drumming it home that unless you were anoited you couldn't partake.
and everyone would be watching the "strangers" as their turn came, ripples of horror would go round the congregation if they dared to nibble or sip(!).
... but seriously what is the problem?

A Rebel with a cause says hello new friends
by the_raisin ini just want to start by expressing gratitude toward all members of this forum.
i have been reading for the last month or so experiences and information that had not been available to me years ago when i was going through chronic depression and isolation.
i wish i could be more 'brave' and show some current little jws the way to this forum, but i am afraid of getting them in trouble :p we all know how sites like this are to them.. with that covered, first, a few things about me:.

Has anyone read The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown?
by ranmac inthis is the only one of his books ive read.
it was kind of drawn out but still entertaining, especially if you're interested in freemasonry and the usual fodder associated with it.
the descriptions of the rituals, monuments and symbols associated with washington and its political/religious origins is quite intriguing.

Important security tip for those on here that use FaceBook.
by StoneWall ina friend on fb shared this security tip with me and after realizing how crucial it could be with all the "man-in-the-middle" and data mining going on with fb i decided to share it with all of you in case you were like me and wasn't aware of it.. and after seeing what all it does i'm also curious if you're like me and wonder why facebook doesn't make it the default setting instead of the other way around.. anyhow if you go to account/account settings/account security, you should see a box that says beside it, browse facebook on a secure connection.. make sure to put a check mark in that box and then click save.. to check to make sure it is set properly, your address bar should now show https:facebook.com (notice it added the "s" for secure after http).. when you do banking online or other data sensitive issues online you are probably used to seeing the https on them and that is why.. if you are unsure of why you would want this setting on fb, i'd highly recommend to search on google for https and read the wiki article that comes up.
it list all the benefits of using this security option when/where it's available.. your friends on fb list will be much happier knowing that things they send you or that you post in pm's are more secure as well.. i was surprised at how many friends/family on my list wasn't aware of this option either.. hope that helps with any fears and/or concerns you may have with facebook security.. stonewall.
